Following the local Lib Dems four year "Homes for Heroes" campaign, the Liberal Democrats Regional Conference will discuss the maintenance of armed forces accomodation. At the core of the debate will be the suggestion that armed forces accomodation should comply with the "Decent Homes Standard" applied to local authority and housing association homes.

New £4.7 million Respite Unit Closes after just a Year

A residential unit, providing respite for carers of learning and physically disabled students at the borough's Manor Green special school has been closed less than a year after opening. The Unit, funding for which was secured under the last Lib Dem Administration of the council, was part of the completely new school finished just over a year ago.
