Conservatives Persist with Rubbish Lies

The Conservative Manifesto for the local elections continues to perpetrate the untruth they have been promoting for four years about the Liberal Democrats plans for the Royal Borough's bin collection. The Conservative's state once again that the Liberal Democrat's Manifesto failed to guarantee the weekly bin collection.

Infact the Liberal Democrat's 2007 campaign included amongst other things a petition to keep the weekly bin collection.

"Its a shame that the Conservatives persist with trying to mislead voters with untruths like the weekly bin collection one." says local Lib Dem Richard Fagence, "voters who read their way carefully through the Conservative manifesto will begin to see from the careful wording that much of what they have to say is untrue or is carefully worded to create a false impression."

Local Lib Dems have challenged the Conservatrives to produce any documentary evidence to support their claims - four years on we are still waiting.
