Julian is an experienced local campaigner, who is embedded in our community.

Meet Julian Tisi 

Julian is the Lib Dem Candidate for Windsor at the next General Election. The son of a knife-grinder, Julian came to Windsor to work for Centrica in 2002 and lives in the town with his wife, Amy and their three children, who all attend local state schools.

Julian is embedded in his community as a successful long-term local campaigner, most recently helping people to express their dismay at changes to entry fees for residents to Windsor Castle. His past campaigns include:

  • Keeping Windsor's proper-sized Fire Station
  • Keeping a full-sized fire engine in Windsor
  • Saving Heatherwood Hospital 
  • Stopping inappropriate development in and around Alexandra Gardens twice
  • Stopping raw sewage discharges and holding water companies accountable
  • Forces housing 
  • Protecting Greenbelt
  • Aircraft noise and the Third Heathrow Runway 

and many others 

Julian supports his local community-run pub and is a governor at St Edward's Royal Free School. He is a trustee of the Berkshire Music Trust and the Windsor Festival. 

Julian is an experienced chartered accountant and, as a Borough councillor, has been using his professional skills to help sort out the financial mess at RBWM Council.

Julian has stood for election as MP in Windsor several times, as he is loyal to this area and is dedicated to representing people across the whole constituency.

Julian Tisi will work hard in Parliament on issues that matter to you: 

  • Clean up our rivers and stop sewage dumping by taxing water companies, banning bosses’ big bonuses and creating a tough new regulator.
  • Give you access to NHS health services when you need them: guarantee GP appointment within a week, reform NHS dentistry and put mental health on an equal footing with physical health.
  • Fight back against the Cost of Living Crisis by building at least 150,000 social homes a year, extending free school meals & protecting the pensions triple-lock.

Lib Dems call for a New Political System for the New Year

Britain needs to fundamentally change its political system in 2010, not just change the political party in charge and only the Liberal Democrats, as the only truly democratic party of the big three, have the long term track record of commitment to that change. A vote for Cameron's Conservatives, with their shaky record on freedom, democracy and the environment would be a backward step. That's the New Year message from Windsor Lib Dems.

Conservative Park & Ride is Failure

As predicted by some of their own councillors and the Lib Dems, Windsor Conservatives' mini Park and Ride at Windsor Racecourse is proving a complete flop with visitors to Windsor. Only 50 people a day are using the the shuttle bus into Windsor with the result that the buses are often travelling empty, whilst on average there are 2 passengers per per bus.
