More Conservative Cuts - creches are to be axed at the Royal Borough's sports centres

Having picked on the elderly with sky high rises in home care costs, Windsor Conservatives have now launched an attack on families, with a plan to remove creche facilities from Windsor and Maidenhead's leisure centres, preventing parents of young families taking exercise.

"If you are lucky enough to afford a nanny or an au-pair then this may not be an issue for you, but the rising cost of health care makes health promotion an imperative for the nation as a whole. The council has targets for health promotion - it is impossible to see how preventing parents of young families taking exercise contributes to this," says Windsor's Lib Dem spokesman Julian Tisi.

It appears Windsor Conservatives have nothing to offer in terms of improving efficiency at the council, all they know how to do is make cuts that they hope only affect a minority of people like the frail elderly and toddlers' parents.
