Paul Birchall selected for Bracknell Forest Winkfield & Cranbourne By-Election
Local resident Paul Birchall has been selected as the Lib Dem candidate for the Bracknell Forest Winkfield & Cranbourne ward by-eletion on Thursday 28th November.
The election was caused by the sad death of Councillor Mary Ballin, who had served on the council for many years.
Paul Birchall is a chartered accountant, and has lived in Bracknell and the surrounding area with his fiancé for a number of years.
Paul says, "I'm standing to ensure our community remains one in which we are all proud to live."
Paul cares passionately about the environment, and carries out voluntary conservation work in his spare time.
As a councillor Paul Birchall would:
-
take an active role scrutinising the council's regeneration plans.
-
oppose Green Belt development
-
challenge the complacancy that has grown up in Bracknell's Conservative, "One Party State"
-
curb local Conservative council tax rises
-
secure value for money, by working to stop the council's habit of cutting services whilst increasing charges
"My experience working in finance will enable me to provide effective challenge to the Conservative's budget plans."
says accountant Paul Birchall.
"Vote for me, and I will work tirelessly for the local community, shaking up the cosy Conservative consensus on Bracknell Forest Council."
