Last Saturday, 5th November the Liberal Democrats' Regional Conference passed Windsor Lib Dems' "Homes for Heroes" policy, which calls on the Government adopt the social housing, "Decent Homes Standard" as a minimum guarantee for the quality of armed forces married quarters.

"We're really glad that Lib Dems across the south of England have agreed with us that our forces' families deserve decent housing, " says local Lib Dem Med Boxwell, the proposer of the policy motion, forces veteran and himself a former families quarters resident.

The policy motion is part of a 4 year campaign on the issue of forces housing run by Windsor Lib Dems. In the near future Med hopes to survey all the forces housing in Windsor to ascertain the state of repair of the properties.

"We hope to spread this campaign to other local parties across the country, so that we can get the policy adopted by the party nationally" adds Med.
