Cut Flowers - Courtesy of the Conservatives

24 Jan 2009

Flower beds across Windsor & Maidenhead are starting to disappear as part of the Conservative's attempts to balance the books after they were forced to borrow £8million.

The beds are being replaced with either extra lawn or with shrubs and other cheaper alternatives.

"Windsor earns a good deal of its income from tourism" said Lib Dem Parliamentary Campaigner, Julian Tisi. "Let's hope the appearance of the town isn't too damaged by the changes."
