Cedar Tree Campaign Reveals Conservatives Lack of Grip on Council

14 Mar 2011

A recent campaign to save a Cedar Tree in St Leonard's Road from being cut down by the Conservative Council revealed the extent to which the council Conservatives are failing in their duty to keep an eye on what is going on at the council. In an amazing admission on Facebook a local Conservative Councillor told members of the campaign that no Conservative councillor knew the Cedar Tree was being cut down.

"This really begs the question who is in charge at the council?" said local Lib Dem Moray Barclay. "Here we have Conservative Councillors campaigning against their own council and telling us that the actions of the council they run are nothing to do with them!"

Local Liberal Democrats are glad to see that common sense has prevailed and the tree has received a stay of execution, however the question remains as to why the Conservative Councillors for Windsor had no idea what was going on.
