Boy, 11, seriously injured after collision with car

An 11-year-old boy has been seriously injured in a collision with a car in Maidenhead today.

The crash took place in Oaken Grove at about 8.30am and involved a silver Toyota RAV4.

The boy was taken to Wexham Park Hospital but transferred to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford due to the extent of his injuries.

The road was closed for several hours to make way for emergency services and investigators.

Police are currently investigating the incident and are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
