Antony Wood Runs for Sudan

Antony Wood will be running eight miles from Windsor to Sunninghill in order to aid the Sudanese crisis appeal. The run represents the average distance that people in the developing world have to travel to find fresh water.

The intended route will take Antony from his home in central Windsor to the Dog and Partridge Pub in Sunninghill (Ascot). "Everybody knows the situation in Sudan is desperate. This is about acting locally and thinking globally. If I can raise money and awareness then I know I will have made a difference," said Mr. Wood.

All money raised will go to the DEC Sudan Emergency fund which incorporates charities from the Red Cross to Help The Aged. "We need to remember that this crisis is still going on, and it won't be solved overnight. Whether you have donated before or not these people desperately need your help," Mr. Wood added.

Sponsorship details are available through Pauline White at the Dog and Partridge, 01344 623 204. If people wish to donate directly to the DEC emergency appeal, without sponsoring Mr. Wood, the number is 0800 60 60 900.
