Anti NHS Euro MPs Daniel Hannan and Roger Helmer must go
Liberal Democrats in Windsor are calling on David Cameron to sack the two Euro MPs, Daniel Hannan (South East) and Roger Helmer (East Midlands) who have spoken out publically against the National Health Service.
Mr Hannan has been on tour in America attacking the NHS as part of the American Right's campaign against President Obama's plans for Health Care reform.
"This is not a minor fringe issue on which one can expect all parties to have a few dissidents. The NHS is an integral part of the fairness that modern Britain stands for. These two were elected for a party that claims to support the core NHS principles. These MEPs must now resign or be sacked, or David Cameron must admit that at its core the Conservative Party remains as opposed to the existence of the NHS as it was in 1945." Says the Lib Dems Parliamentary Spokesman Julian Tisi.
Mr Tisi continued, "We now need an assurance from our MP in Windsor that he, at least, fully supports the NHS core principles"
Meanwhile several on-line campaigns are growing rapidly - including Facebook and Twitter Groups called "We Love the NHS" already having thousands of members after just a couple of days and several groups calling for Mr Hannan to resign or be sacked.
