Get Mill Lane Crossing Done!

"Get Mill Lane Done!" is the Local Lib Dems' Campaign to get the council to install the Toucan Crossing it promised would be done in 2018.

Two Children have been run over at the Mill Lane Roundabout in the last 6 months.

Under the 2018 Cycling Action Plan, Mill Lane Rounabout, which is the third worst accident blackspot for cyclists in Berkshire was programmed to have a Toucan traffic light controlled crossing installed in the financial year 2018-2019 at a cost of £67,000. The crossing still hasn't been installed, yet in the 2018-19 financial year the Conservative Council found £100,000 to spend on propaganda lamp post banners and videos.

In the curent year the Conservatives are funding a new pedestrian crossing in Alma Road, 80m from an already existant crossing and have found £850,000 to resurface Castle Hill to make it look prettier for tourists.

Local Liberal Democrats are furious that the council is putting promoting itself before children's lives. We're determined that the Mill Lane Toucan Crossing must now happen, before a child is killed.
