The Conservative Government are trying to reduce local councils' powers on planning issues.
The Council's recent decision to reject a 50 bed hotel at the end of Imperial Road (at the SG Autopoint site) was overruled by the government.

Currently instead of a Parish or Town Council like most of the Borough, Windsor has a "Town Forum" made up of borough councillors from across the whole borough. The town forum is representative of party make up of the whole borough council rather than residents of Windsor and is appointed by the borough council instead of elected by residents.

Should Windsor have a directly elected Town Council made up of town councillors just from Windsor and elected by residents like most parts of the borough?
