Your Candidates for the 2019 Elections
Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead

Windsor - Clewer east: AMY TISI

Amy Tisi lives just off Parsonage Lane with her husband and three children. She has lived in Windsor for over 8 years.

Becoming parents and realising the great expense of setting up for a new baby, led Amy and a friend to set up local charity "The Baby Bank".

The Baby Bank helps families in hardship by providing clothes and other essentials. Since starting four years ago, it has expanded to serve other nearby areas and has helped over 1100 families.

Professionally Amy is an experienced primary teacher and is a specialist in teaching early years (infants) and special needs. She is very concerned about the nursery and school funding crisis.

Amy grew up in an armed forces family and, as a baby, was christened in the ship's bell of the aircraft carrier HMS Illustrious! She's appalled at the state of some forces homes in Windsor. She is also keen to promote the evidence-led 'Housing First' approach to tackling homelessness in Windsor.

Windsor - Clewer east: KAREN DAVIES

Karen lives just off St Leonard's Road with her husband and two rescue dogs. She has lived in Windsor for over 7 years.

Karen is actively involved in the local community, campaigning on various issues and as a member of several community groups. She is a founder member of local campaign group "Plastic Free Windsor", which is itself sponsored by National Campaign Group "Surfers Against Sewage".

Plastic Free Windsor is working to reduce the use of single use plastics in our community, helping to keep our town tidy, the environment unpolluted and wildlife safe. Windsor Lib Dems are working towards gaining 'Plastic Free Ally' Status.

In her professional life Karen is an FE Lecturer in Education, whilst in her spare time she is an allotment holder at the Bolton Road Allotments.

Karen is keen to build a kinder and fairer borough including better scrutiny of spending decisions.
