Instead of listening to local people, Windsor Conservatives abuse residents who dare to make even the slightest comment.

Lib Dems in Windsor have renewed calls on Windsor's MP to intervene to stop local Conservatives' unpleasant attacks on members of the public in the local press. In recent weeks local Conservatives have sent a string of unpleasant letters to the newspapers attacking residents in Old Windsor who have dared to express their concern about the Church Road / Straight Road junction where a fatal accident occurred earlier in the year.

Speaking for Windsor Lib Dems Julian Tisi said "Residents have a right to express their opinions on any issue, without being on the receiving end of nasty and unpleasant personal abuse. The Conservatives should restrict their comments to the issues, if they can't, their MP really should intervene."

Residents who have been abused by a Councillor should follow this link to find out about the Councillor's Code of Conduct for the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead: http://www.rbwm.gov.uk/web/members_conduct.htm

If they feel that a Councillor has breached the code of conduct by acting in a way which is abusive, bullying or intimidating or breaches the requirement of equal opportunities legislation they should follow this link to make a complaint: http://www.rbwm.gov.uk/web/members_complaints_councillors.htm
