Keep Traffic Out of Town
Tim O'Flynn watches the regular Datchet Rush Hour Traffic Jam, as cars head into Windsor's Town Centre over the Level Crossings. The M4 Park & Ride would draw this traffic out of Datchet back on to the M4.
The "Keep Traffic Out of Town" campaign is the campaign for the construction of an M4 Park & Ride scheme to intercept traffic coming into Windsor from the M4.
- Currently 53% of traffic entering Windsor enters the town along the M4 Spur Road.
- Datchet serves as a rat run for drivers heading into Windsor's town centre car parks.
- Eton's streets are becoming a Park & Ride for London and Windsor as commuters park in Eton and then cross the bridge to Windsor to use Riverside Station.
We believe the council should investigate plans floated by local business for a joint Park & Ride scheme with Slough Borough Council located at a brownfield site in Slough.
