Former soldier, Antony Wood, was born in the Constituency. He served for several years in the Cavalry / Armoured Corps, during which time he was also in the British Olympic Squad for Biathlon. After leaving the Army Antony worked in a variety of roles, including fundraising, training and youth work. He now works as a training and development consultant. Antony was formerly the Liberal Democrats' Parliamentary Candidate for Windsor.

Antony was responsible for securing funding from SEERA for the M4 Park & Ride (subsequently cancelled by the Conservatives) and was negotiating with the Olympic Delivery Agency to secure the balance of the funds. Antony placed the initial bid for funds for the current refurbishment of the Windsor & Eton Relief road.
