Cameron's Conservatives Head out into the Weird corners of Europe's Political Wilderness

Global warming is a lie, homosexuality is a "pathology" and Europe is becoming a "neo-totalitarian" regime, according to one of David Cameron's new European allies.

Following the European Election today David Cameron's Conservatives will leave the mainstream Conservative Group of the European Parliament - The European People's Party and head out into the wilderness of European politics with a rag bag of the strange and absurd. The move, which is one of the biggest initiatives so far of Cameron's leadership, will leave Britain virtually unrepresented in the European Parliament, if the Conservatives do as well as predicted.

"Sitting on their own, with a handful of the weird and wonderful from a small number of mostly eastern European countries the Conservatives will have no impact at all. This is extremely worrying, if as expected the Conservatives form the biggest part of the UK's representation"

says the Lib Dems' Julian Tisi.

"By voting Lib Dem people in Windsor will get a stake in the Parliament's Liberal Group, (The Alliance of Liberals and Democrats in Europe) the third biggest group in the Parliament, which has an enviable record for getting things done."

Amongst the Parties Cameron is allying himself to are:

Poland's Law and Justice Party

The Czech Republic's Civic Democratic Party

Bulgaria's Order Law and Justice Party

Latvia's Civic Union and For Fatherland and Freedom Parties

Belgium's List Dedecker

Cameron may yet be unable to form the group as the rules require him to win at least 25 seats in the European Parliament from 7 member states and it is as yet unclear if enough of his partners will be able to win seats.
