A bloomin' cheek over ripping out flowers

I find it hard to fathom why Cllr Alison Knight [Conservative, Sunninghill & South Ascot] feels so pleased about ripping out lovely flowers.

When my late wife was alive it was always a pleasure to wander down to the local parks and enjoy the lovely display of plants with their bright colours and stunning blooms.

I've always been impressed with the way the Royal Borough has managed to maintain a good standard of plant life in its public areas and, since the 1990s, has also encouraged residents to join in with their Gardens in Bloom awards.

What I find particularly rich is that Cllr Knight has a go at the Liberals for the type of tree that is planted outside the Town Hall.

If her Tory crew had their way a few years ago, we wouldn't have a town hall there now!
